My name is Arielle Taylor, a current first-year sophomore at North Carolina State University. My intended major is Biomedical Engineering. I chose this major because it is popular and holds many opportunities for upcoming researchers. Engineering is a very neat major that is considered attractive to any field of work, for the teamwork and critical thinking specialties. I favor biology and medicine over other engineering disciplines. With this major, I am provided the framework for improving the quality of life here on Earth.

My favorite hobby is playing instruments (primarily guitar). Though I usually identify more with drumming, the portability of a guitar draws me into playing it more often. I began playing electric guitar and taught myself using online tablatures. Once I began craving the full and rich sound of a classical guitar, I purchased one and proceeded to strengthen my fingers. Over the past 5 years, I have composed 3 volumes of original music, with authentic drums to accentuate. As for drums, I have played for over 5 years. I also play the cajon, a seat with a hole that is played like a hand drum.
