Teaching portfolio

Thank you for visiting my teaching portfolio. My name is April Fogleman and I am a doctoral candidate at NC State University studying Nutrition Sciences and a dietetic intern at The University of Northern Colorado. I recently earned the title of International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) through clinical training in the Mary Rose Tully Training Initiative at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I will complete my PhD in June 2011 and earn my Registered Dietitian (RD) certification in July, 2011.

Although I am passionate about my research on maternal and infant health, this website is dedicated to my love of teaching. Here you will find my curriculum vita, teaching philosophy, past student evaluations, and other aspects related to my teaching and participation in the Preparing the Professoriate program at NC State University.

I have four years and ten semesters of teaching experience. During my time as a graduate student, I have taught or been a Teaching Assistant for the following courses:

I was the main instructor for Introductory Nutrition and the teaching assistant for Milk and Dairy Products as well as Lactation, Milk, and Nutrition. Please view my curriculum vita for a detailed explaination of my duties in each course.

Please feel free to contact me.
