My name is Andrew O'Ferrell and I am a freshman. My major is English but I plan on switching to Computer Science. I chose Computer Science because I really want to create videogames. I am having a hard time trying to understand programming but if that is the way to get to making videogames, that is my goal. I majored in English first because I wanted to write for videogames (backstory, dialogue, etc.) but having only a major in English might be hard to get there. So if the way to work with videogames and possibly writing for them after a few years is to major in Computer Science, then that is what I am going to do.

My favorite hobby is to listen to music or play videogames. It's really hard for me to just pick one because I enjoy both equally as much but each have a time and place for them. I love to listen to music because it is just so diverse and amazing, to discover new bands and genres and just sit and listen to all different kinds of really good music for hours on end, that is a very beautiful feeling. Vidoegames, however, are what I want to work with for most of my life. So to play new videogames, especially independent games, gives me a better understanding of new creativity and new ideas that can be implemented into games.
