Welcome to my Second Webpage!

Hello, my name is Bradley Schmidt and I am a freshman at NC State University. I am currently a first year engineering student, and I plan to major in biomedical engineering with a concentration in biomaterials. I have chosen this major because of my deep interest in the functionality of the human body and my desire to improve the health of others. Throughout my educational career, I have enjoyed taking mathematics and the sciences, particularly chemistry and biology. In biomedical engineering, I will be able to use my academic strengths to develop real-world engineering solutions for medical purposes. I am intrigued by the rapid growth of this field and yearn to have a career within it. I cannot wait to CODA into the BME department and immerse myself in the future of medicine.

Due to the impossible task of narrowing my favorite hobby to one sport, I am going to say that my favorite hobby is sports in general. I have played baseball and basketball since I was 5 years old, and began playing football in 7th grade. I played all three of these sports all the way through high school. In college, I will continue to stay involved in sports, whether it's playing intramurals or attending all the sporting events that I possibly can. After all of these years of playing sports, I have learned how to successfully balance academics with an active lifestyle. Yes, I have had many late nights of doing homework after practices or games, but I wouldn't have done anything differently. Athletic competition has taught me numerous lessons and has contributed to the person I am today.
