Welcome, and stay awhile!

My name is Brandon. I am a sophomore in mechanical engineering. My previous work experience has led me to pursue engineering. My interest in energy engineering was sparked when I installed data loggers to track lighting usage on a university campus, and when I learned about energy systems on farms. I have a number of other interests and hobbies too...

I enjoy gardening. For that matter, I enjoy everything about food, from learning about soil science to experimenting with recipes. Recently, I built a solar food dehydrator and carried out an experiment to find the best method to dry muscadine grapes. Through statistical analysis, I found that (not surprisingly) muscadine grapes dried the fastest when sliced in half and placed on the top screen of the dehydrator.
