Department of Marine, Earth, and Atmospheric Sciences

Welcome! I'm Greg Tierney, a Postdoctoral Research Scholar at NC State, under the mentorship of Drs. Gary Lackmann and Walt Robinson, a position I began in September 2017 after receiving my PhD from Michigan in August. My dissertation explored how extratropical cyclones respond to environmental variation, and my upcoming postdoctoral work will focus on how persistent anomalies might change in future climate conditions.

My website here at NC State is still under construction as I begin my new postdoctoral position, so please excuse any inconsistencies or possible old information. My work at Michigan as a Ph.D student is still highlighted in the Research and Presentation tabs. Stay tuned for more!
