Grant Kirkland's Resume

Yeet that's me!

My name is Grant Kirkland and I am a freshman at NCSU. I am currently studying
Biological Oceanography here. I intend to graduate in 2020 after learning about fishies
and the magic of the sea. Once I do so I will hopefully commission as an Ensign (O-1) in
the United States Navy via ROTC!

I selected Biological Oceanography as my major because of my profound interest in the
marine sciences. When I was little, my mother worked as a naturalist on a whale watch boat
and I would often accompany her. With this degree I get to indulge my fascination and help with
research and conservation efforts. Specifically, using my degree in the Navy, I will hopefully earn
an assignment at Naval Postgraduate School and further Naval research into sustainable maritime activity.
