About ACP Lab

The Applied Cognitive Psychology (ACP) laboratory is devoted to studying human attention and cognition, with applications of cognitive principles to human factors in transportation and display design. We are interested in how attentional and cogntive functions operate, how we can improve attentional and cognitive functions, and how to design interfaces that best suit our attentional and cognitive abilities.

  • - Attention and spatial cognition

  • - Aging and individual differences

  • - Cognitive training

  • - Human factors in driving (e.g., aging and driving, driver distraction)

  • - Information presentation on large displays
