Welcome to my page!! Thanks so much for joining me on my page all about me and my life at North Carolina State University!

My name is Kayla McMillan and I am currently a freshman at NC State University. I am double majoring in biomedical engineering and child development because my goal is combine the two of them and use my knowledge on how children develop to more efficiently research and create medicines and medical technologies for them. I wanted to double major in these two fields because I think it would be a very unique combination that would work really well together. I have always had a passion for helping others, especially children, and I really wanted to work with nanotechnology, stem cells, and researching.

I am currently an instructor at Innovative Martial Arts Academy where I teach children from ages 4 to 14 martial arts. I love working there and I love creating bonds and relationships with the children that I teach. Ideally, in the future I hope to travel all over the world bringing smiles to children of all ages, religions, races, and backgrounds. I also have an idea to where I can build hospitals in developing countries that have limited access to proper medical care. Ever since I was a child, I have had a passion for helping others and bringing light to dark places. I am so excited to continue my journey as I continue to accomplish great things.
