You've found this page about me, Laura Walker, which probably means you are either an instructor or TA for E115 or I am actually proud of the coding that went into this assignment.

I'm Laura Walker. I'm currently a freshman here at NC State University and currently I am an engineering first year. In the coming semesters, I hope to major in electrical engineering. I want to one day work with wireless communications like cell phones and radios (mostly because I've always been fascinated by them.) In the past I've even built a few radios (most of which worked) and I also ended up building a 4-bit calculator along the way.

Right now I am a full time student but during the past two summers, I have been a teaching assistant for the Summer Accelerator Program at the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics. I assisted an instructor with leading a course for middle school girls where we promoted engineering and STEM careers in efforts to bridge the gender gap in STEM fields. I had a blast working there and I hope that I will have the opportunity to work with them again in the coming summers.
