Luis Vazquez's Resume



I am currently attending North Carolina State Univeristy as Junior in Aerospace Engineering. I am pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering with a minor in Military Science. I plan to graduate in May of 2019 and will commission in the United States Army.

Proffessional Goals

I've been flying remote control airplanes for the past 15 years. What began as a childhood hobby has grown into a passion and fueled a curiosity to explore the world of flight as an adult. My dream is to build and design my own aircraft. I can think of no better career with which to contribute to society. The benefits of aerospace exploration, design, engineering and development benefit society in many ways in addition to expanding our aerospace capabilities and I wish to be a part of the next generation who will harness the technology to advance this challenging career field. I plan on one day working with military contracts wigh companies such as Lockheed Martin or Boeing.

Skills and Qualities

  1. With my time in the military, I have gained excellent leadership and communication skills that could easily translate into the workforce.
  2. Comfortable with general coding and CAD programs and willingness to learn new programs and processes.
  3. Extensive knowledge of airplane mechanics and hand tool use. This is invaluable as an engineer, allowing one to know how to build what they are designing.
  4. Very good with time management and works well in high pressure enviroments, also finishing things to best of my ability while meeting deadlines.
  5. dedicated team player and take every opportunity to succeed as team instead of as an individual.
