Why Mechanical Engineering?

I have always been attracted to physics and the "how" and "why" objects worked a certain way. When I was eight years old I adored Rube Goldberg Machines and would try to create several of my own throughout the house. It was fascinating to understand the speeds and the angles I needed my creation to have in order to utilize the initial kinetic energy given to the system. I just fell in love with the mechanics and I still find myself doing the same as I delve deeper into my major.

What I Plan to do After College?

To be quite honest, I'm not so sure what I would like to do with my degree. As of right this moment, my goal is to be a part of North Carolina State University's accelerated masters program. This would allow me to graduate with my Masters in Mechanical Engineering after just five years at the institution. After that, I would like to join a local company like SAS and find a steady job. I am still open to the idea of pursuing a MBA or attending Med School. I dont really know for sure although I know that I am going to have to make a decision soon, I feel as if my major gives me a great deal of flexibility to pursue any of theses fields after my undergraduate degree is complete.
