Welcome to my website

My name is Lindsay Leonard and I am a first year student at North Carolina State University. Currently, I am designated as an EFY (engineering first year) student; however, I hope to CODA into the dual degree in paper science engineering and chemical engineering at the end of this fall semester. I am interested in product development, design, and the environment. I think that the dual degree will give me the resources I need to take a variety of different paths out of NCSU, whether it be working in product development, on the supplier side of industry, in the environmental or medical fields or in policy. Chemical engineering is a broad subject area and a specialization in PSE will help with opportunities in industry.

I don't think I would be able to pick a specific hobby; however, I enjoy almost any outdoor activity! I was exposed to the outdoors from an early age, and my love of nature has only grown. I love the mountains and the activities that come with visiting, including hiking, kayaking, canoeing, swimming, paddleboarding, sailing, rock climbing and trail running. Being outside makes me feel content, and I love that there is typically an exercise component associated with it. Although, when I don't feel like being quite as active, I still enjoy yoga and meditations outdoors. Even more, I'll never say no to just relaxing outside after an intense trip!
