Welcome to The Internet!

My name is Madeleine and I am a freshman with a double major in French and Biological Engineering because I am passionate about working on the international level to solve large scale engineering issues. French is a beautiful language and is the second language of diplomacy (after english). I couldn't choose between a language major and engineering, so I became a Benjamin Franklin Scholar. I really want to make a difference with the availability of clean water and sustainable agriculture all across the globe.

This past spring I went to France. It was my absolutely favorite vacation so far in my life! I got to visit Paris, Aix-En-Provence, Beaux-De Provence, Cassis, Nice, and Monaco. Every single city was amazing and very unique. I go to see all the classical Parisian sites such as the Louvre, Versailles, Le Tour Eiffel, etc., and this was contrasted beautifully by the natural elegance of the South of France. My new travel goal: Go back!!

Dogs are infinitely better than cats. This is due not only to the positive aspects of dogs, but also the negative aspects of cats. From my personal experience, cats are mean, self-serving and sneeze causing (I have yet to meet a nice kitty though :/ ). Dogs on the other hand are perfect for cuddles, love, and happiness. I love my puppy with all my heart!

My fave yummy sandwich:
  1. Gather supplies: fresh french baguette, tomato, mozzarella, brie, lettuce, and chicken.
  2. Slice baguette down the middle.
  3. Lay slices of mozzarella down on one side and cover with lettuce.
  4. On the other half of the slice baguette, put down the brie cheese and the tomato.
  5. Add chicken to one of the sides and put the sandwich together.
  6. Slice in half and enjoy!
