Welcome to my webpage!

Hello, my name is Nicholas Sprauer and I am a freshman at North Carolina State University. I am currently pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering with a possible concentration in Biomanufacturing Sciences. The main reason I am studying engineering is because I have always thought of myself as a problem solver especially in areas of math and science. I am interested in Chemical Engineering mainly because of its variety of applications, namely in the medical and pharmaceutical fields.

In the summer of 2017, I had the opportunity to intern as a research assistant at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio. This was a great experience in which I got to learn and work in a professional environment with some of the brightest people that I have met. Through this internship, I was able to see what engineers are called to do in the real world and see what it is like to work in an ever changing work environment. I hope that I can continue to expose myself to diverse work experience and opportunities that will further my education and skills.
