Why are you here?

My name is Shalini. I have been enrolled at NCSU since 2013, but have only completed one semester in full, so I think I am in my first year still. My major is computer science because it's the field I am the most interested in and it is also the most practical for me. I may minor in Music Composition as well if I like NCSU's music department after taking my first class in it next semester. I have never really been interested in any other major, aside from a couple of fields in engineering that I do not think I would suceed in, but I find the subjects neat. The two subjects I am mainly interested in otherwise include mechanical and nuclear engineering, however I am certain that I will not major in these subjects.

My favorite hobby would probably be something related to travel. Whether I am going via public transit or riding in my car by myself for hours to a destination, I tend to enjoy both the journey and the trip itself. I have spent way too many hours in the last years since high school traveling around and it has become very normal for me to travel around visiting my friends and going to shows, thus it is probably my favorite hobby. I primarily drove up the east coast to PA, NY, and CT, as well as rode public transit. I also went to Canada, however I have let my passport expire and need to renew it. Once I sort out my passport renewal, I will try to use my savings to purchase a plane ticket to England where I may stay with some friends. I would also like to visit The Netherlands, Sweden, and a few other countries.

This is Mr. Rippy
