Why I Chose Mechanical Engineering

I chose to study mechanical engineering because I have always been fascinated by how things work. Ever since I was a little girl, I have been know to take pretty much anything I have ever owned apart just so I could look at all the pieces and try and rebuild the item. First it started with taking apart my little toddler toys like my model kitchen set and little toy cars, to now I have be known to take apart things such as various parts of my car, printers, and various other large machines. Another reason why I chose to study mechanical engineering is because I am passionate about solving problems in creative ways. I have always excelled in the "critical thinking and problem solving courses" throughout school such as calculus and physics and have been able to find fun ways to apply these subjects to real life problems.
After I receive my degree in mechanical engineering, I hope to join a company where I can design engines, specifically for automobiles. I have always shows a great interest in cars and I hope that the career I pursue would allow me to work with them for the rest of my life.
