Chemical Engineering

This is my first semester at NC State University. I am here studying Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering. I transferred from AB Tech Community College in Asheville, NC, where I completed the majority of my first two years. I am currently a sophomore in the College of Engineering with an anticipated graduation date of Spring 2019.

Why Chemical Engineering?

Although I have always love Chemistry, I decided to go into engineering after discovering my passion for mathematics. Once my interest in math was sparked, I dove deep into studying it. From there, I looked into many different options for my education and career, and chemical engineering is perfect for who I am, what I love, and what I am good at. I am able to combine my creative and artistic traits with my abilities with science and mathematics. I am still exploring options for what I am specifically going to do with my degree. This summer I am interning with a polymer company that makes adhesives. I plan to explore my options by doing internships such as this one.
