William Shaw is a Lecturer in NC State's English department and a member of the Graduate faculty. After receiving his Ph.D. from Ohio University, Shaw taught for twenty-five years at Le Moyne College, Syracuse, N.Y. where he was a tenured Full Professor, two-term Chair of the English department, one-term President of the Faculty Senate. His publications and course interests focus on Shakespeare, Milton, Donne, and Early English Literature. In addition to his teaching, Shaw is also Interim Director of N.C. State's First-Year Inquiry Program and conducts N.C. State's Summer Study Abroad Program to Ireland. In addition numerous articles and several academic books, Shaw is also the author of a work of non-fiction -- a book about his uncle's experiences in WWII: Fellowship of Dust: Retracing the World War II Journey of Sergeant Frank Shaw.
