Hi Friends!

My name is Amanda

and I am a freshman in engineering with a biomed intent. I want to be a biomedical engineer because I want to be able to improve people's quality of life through medical technological innovations. I basically grew interested in this specific field of engineering by default; I knew I wanted to do engineering, but wasn't completely invested in the various other disciplines offered. I appreciate, however, that any degree in any one type of engineering can work on basically anything. Biomedical industries need mechanical, electrical, industrial, nuclear, and many more for any one project. I want that variety of different interactions in my future career and I believe I can get that while still working on a goal that is significant to me.
As far as hobbies go,
I'm still figuring out what I like to do. I seem to never have enough time in the day. I love reading blogs online and doing DIY projects, even if they don't always turn out the best. Right now, for example, I'm in the process of making a decorative pillow. I have a great image in my mind, but we'll see how it goes ;)
