Education!

Although I am currently in the First Year Engineering (FYE) Program, I hope to CODA into Biomedical Engineering by the end of next semester. As you can probably guess, I am a freshman North Carolina State University (GO PACK!!) and I intend on graduating in 2020! I am SUPER excited for the next four years at State!

Why Biomed?

I chose to study Biomed Engineering not only due to the fact that it is one of the fastest growing degrees offered, but also because it provides so many opportunities to help society. I made the decision to study this major in high school after I watched a news report about a doctor utilizing rib cartilage to form a new ear for a child who had been attacked by a raccoon. This report was so inspiring that I decided that I needed to study on Biomaterials with a focus on cell and tissue regeneration, and later utilize this knowlege to perform life-changing surgeries on people with birth-defects or other dilemmas (soooo, yeah, I want to be a plastic surgeon).
