Welcome to Alex's World.

My name is Alex Gizzi and I am in my third year at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. I am studying Environmental Science with hopes of going on to study Environmental Engineering at North Carolina State University. The program in which I can accomplish these two degrees is known as the 3+2 program. It entails of three years of study at UNCW followed by two years of study at NCSU and concludes with two Bachelor's of Science degrees, one from each university. I am hoping to earn both of these degrees because I have a passion for creating a more sustainable society for our generation and generations to come.

I have many hobbies, but I would say my favorite hobby would have to be music. Listening to music, discovering new music, sharing music with others, dancing to music, and (attempting) to make music brings me a joy unlike any other. I always start my day off by listening to music and it helps me get through the day. I love all genres of music, and I can listen to many different genres throughout a given day. I cannot help myself but to boogie when music comes on. It is like my body is some sort of medium that sound waves travel into and must exit in the form of movement. It is fascinating to me!
