My intended major is Civil Engineering at North Carolina State University. I expect to graduate in May 2020.
I chose Civil Engineering because I want to apply math, science, and problem solving skills to improve infrastructure. It's a hands-on job that takes you out of the office, and the selection of jobs available is very diverse. When I enter the workforce, I am interested specifically in urban planning, improving durability and utility of roadways, and development of sustainable building practices.
