Picture of Myself
Current Education

I am currently a freshman at North Carolina State University and enrolled as a First Year Engineer Major, Mechanical Engineering intent. Due to my credits from my high school Advanced Placement tests, I am actually able to apply for my intent this semester and will begin Mechanical Engineering major courses starting in the spring of 2017. My ability to do so also puts me ahead one semester, therefore my projected graduation date is Decemeber 2019.

Why Mechanical Engineering?

Starting from a young age, I was introduced to the world of engineering. My dad has his PhD in Mechanical Engineering and showed his passion for his degree by teaching us about his work consistantly as my brother and I grew up. If my toys broke, we would take them apart and figure out what went wrong and how/if we could fix it. Having that background and interest initiated a spark that would later lead to my passion of building and fixing the world around me. Going into high school, math and science classes came naturally to me, and I enjoyed learning the subject. But when I took physics my Junior year, I fell in love with the idea of mechanical engineering. Everything about how something moved intrigued me and light the true fire for the current passion I have for my major as a Mechanical Engineer.
