My name is Cody Lane Allen and I am a freshmen in engineering here at NC State university. Right now, I am deciding whether or not I want to major in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering. I have narrowed it down to these two majors because of they fact that I enjoy math and physics, and these majors are rooted in these two fields. I chose Aerospace because of the fact that I have always been interested in flight, whether it be in or out of Earth's atmosphere. I chose Mechanical engineering because it is broad, which means that I would have a very wide range to choose from when it comes time for me to start my career once I graduate.
Right now I don't really have a what most people would call a "hobby," but in my spare time I enjoy playing video games and hanging out with my friends that go to another university. However, I do have plans for hobbies that I want to give a try at some point in my life. Firstly, I would like to learn how to drive a stick shift vehicle, and then get into amateure racing of some sort. Secondly, I would like to travel a lot once I get settled in my career and have the financial ability to spend money on trips to other places throughout the world. I have always wanted to go other places around the world, not necessarily to live there, but just to see what else lies beyond the borders of the US.
