My name is Emma Thomas and I am a first year student. I am currently in first year engineering with a biomedical intent. I chose biomedical because I have enjoyed courses like biology and anatomy in the past, and I would lvoe to be able to impact the medical field in some way. I am also considering biological, material science or textile engineering since I will be able to work with the medical field in these departments as well.

My favorite hobby is photography. I always been exposed to photograpy because my mother's hobby is photography as well, however I didn't take this interest seriously until I started high school. When I was in high school I was able to take 3 years of courses covering film photography, digital photography, and basic photoshop. These classes took my interest in this activity to the next level, and I hope to continue photography into my future. One of my goals is to get scuba certified so that I can pursue underwater photography and work with marine life and landscapes.
