Hello and welcome to my Homework2a assignment!

My name is Forrest DeVita and this is my first year here at NC State. I am a first year engineering (FYE) major, but my intended major is Mechanical engineering. This is subject to change. For as long as I could remember I have been fascinated with the way objects operate. This, combined with my desire to take knowledge of a subject beyond a theoretical level is what has led me to want to become an engineer. As I mentioned previously, I currently want to enter the Mechanical engineering department, but my second choice (and possibly my first) is Electrical engineering. Being an engineering major, I've found that I do not have that much free time on my hands, but when I am not working, my favorite "hobby" would be what is called Apologetics. Contrary to popular belief, this is not the art of apologizing. The word apologetics comes from the Greek word "apologia" which means "to defend" or "give reason for." Essentially, it is the use of science, philosophy, archaeology, and history to give an "apologia" or a reason for the Christian faith. This is an interesting field of study because not only does it give valid arguments for theism and the Christian faith, but because it indirectly equips ones self with the ability to analyse other philosophical questions as well.
