Graham Pash

I am currently a student at NC State University pursuing a B.S. in Applied Mathematics and Mechanical Engineering. Most recently, I have been working with Dr. Matthew Bryant and Ben Kirschmeier on oscillating wing energy harvesters as a member of the Intelligent Structures and Systems Research Lab (iSSRL). I also work with Dr. Ralph Smith and Dr. Paul Miles on numerical methods for and applications of fractional-order calculus operators. In the past, I have worked with the Power and Energy Systems Group at Oak Ridge National Laboratory on their Powerline Conductor Accelerated Testing Facility.

My academic interests include mathematical modeling, uncertainty quantification, smart materials, and unsteady aerodynamics. I am a regular participant in the Consortium for Mathematics and Its Applications (COMAP) Mathematical Contest in Modeling (MCM). I am an avid fan of both the Denver Broncos and the Oklahoma City Thunder and am the Vice President of the Sports Analytics Club at NC State. I enjoy participating in the NBA Hack-A-Thon. I also am a Resident Advisor at the Avent Ferry Complex. My hobbies include watching and playing sports, hip hop music, and traveling.
