Hi David :)
This paragraph should be in Arial font.
How to convert binary:
The number of numbers in the string indicates how many positions you must observe.
Starting from the right, each number represents a value of 2 raised to the power of n.
Where n is your position from the right (starting at 0). The decimal conversion is the sum of all the values whose position has a "1".
For example:
The string "1001" has a value of 9.
The string's value is organized into four different numbers.

At position 1 (n = 0) and at position 4 (n = 3), the values are 2 ^{ 0 } and 2 ^{ 3 }, respectively.
Adding these two values (1 +8) produces the decimal representation of "1001", which is 9.
The values representing the 2nd and 3rd positions of "1001" (starting from the right) are not included because their given value is a "0".
Any value assigned a "0" is ignored from the sum, and any value that is given a position of "1" is included in the sum.
Therefore, the first and last values added together represent the decimal version of "1001".
