Just a Little Bit About Myself!:
My name is Heath Boyd and I am currently a sophomore majoring in Business Management at NC State. One thing you should know about me is that I am on the schools football team. I have been a member of the team since my freshman year and alternate between playing the positions wide receiver and tailback. In addition to football, I am also on the schools mock trial team and am an intern in Lt. Governor Dan Forest's office and with a local law firm. Sports, especially football is a beloved passion of mine, but the legal field is where I wish to persue a career after I complete my education. Aside from these main involvements in my life, I also enjoy being outdoors, preferably by a body of water. A few of my favorite things to do when I am away from school is hunt, fish, take my boat out on the ocean and just spend quality time with my friends and family.
I am enjoying the exposure and insight to the world of computers that I am getting from CSC 200. I've always been fairly decent in regards to using computers as long as the task never requires me to do more than access the internet or type a paper. But each class I learn a new different thing about computers that I find very interesting, helpful and also very applicable to the real world. However, I would like to why there are so many different programs that do different things. For example, the multiple kinds of softwares that we have had to download for this class, how come they all don't operate on standard computer software? Aside from the aspects of this class I enjoy, and the curious thoughts that this class has sparked with in me; a dislike I have about this course is how confusing and fast it can feel at times. The homeworks are typically harder than the in-lab assignments and at times I have been lost and stuck with no insight on how to solve certain problems since there are essentially no resources for this class outside of lab.
