Welcome to my webpage.

My name is Jacob Zimmerman, I'm in class of 2018, and I'm going into Biomedical Engineering. I chose Biomedical Engineering because I've always been interested in the application of chemical and mechanical knowledge to repair or improve human bodies. Specifically, I'm interested in the Biomaterials specialization because I particularly am fascinated by the synthesis of body tissue. I hope to be a part of the research for tissue engineering and contribute to its success in the future.

One of my hobbies is ballroom dance. I know it sounds funny, but I really like it. It's a great way to meet people, learn practical dances, and have fun. So far, we've covered the waltz, the rumba, the chacha, and the quickstep, though I haven't been able to attend every class. While I am still a newbie and pretty clumsy still, I look forward to being good enough to participate in contests and events.
