John R. Parsons IV

Welcome to my first webpage, read on to learn stuff about me.

My name is John Parsons (I go by Rob). I'm a freshman engineering student at North Carolina State University with an Aerospace Engineering intent. From a young age I have been interested in model rocketry. This interest was strengthened when I competed at a national level in the Team America Rocketry Challenge with a team of four from my high school. Though I realize that there are limited jobs in rocketry, the overall Aerospace field is interesting to me and I could see myself working on any number of projects in the future.

My favorite break from school was probably the winter of 2008. My family and I traveled to Martinique to visit my uncle who lives there. It was a really fantastic trip; travel agencies that depict clear blue oceans are actually not exaggerating. It was a little odd spending the Christmas holiday in a place where the temperature never fell below 75 degrees, but it was also interesting to see the Christmas traditions of a different country. I hope to go back to visit sometime.
