|A Place to Call Home - Using HTML|
Most likely you have heard of the Internet, and more importantly, the World Wide Web by now. The World Wide Web, or just "the Web" for short, is a collection of information interconnected by "links" and is all viewable with a browser, such as Netscape. The bulk of the material on the Web was written in a language called HTML, which stands for Hyper-Text Mark-up Language. This language allows you to display text, pictures, and links in a format viewable by Netscape, or any other browser.
This project will teach you the basics of creating a simple web page to tell the world a little about yourself. Be aware that anybody can read what you put on your web page, so don't put anything too personal on it.
