Hey there, my name is Scott Martin and I am currently a first semester freshman at NCSU. I intend on majoring in Nuclear Engineering and graduating around 2021. I chose this major becasue I am interested in how reactors work to produce power and if there are any industry problems I can help solve to make this process more effiecent and safe.
I am currently considering joining the Navy's NUPOC(Nuclear Propulsion Officer Candiate Program) program while I am still an undergraduate here at NCSU. This program will allow me the freedom of a normal student but also insures a job with the Navy after I graduate. This program also offers a compensation which I can use to help pay for my reamining years of college.
