My name is Tiana Salas-Ali. I am a freshman. I am an undecided engineering major. I chose to major in engineering because I have always enjoyed and excelled in math and science. Although I am undecided as to which specific engineering major I plan to enter into, I've been leaning towards Environmental Engineering because I am concerned about the well-being of the environment we live in. I also would like to be involved in projects that not only advance technology, but also reduce the harm done on the environment and conserve our quickly deminishing resources.
My favorite break from school was last summer's break. The main reason I liked this break was because it was the first summer in 5 years that I didn't spend more than half of the summer in Georgia with my grandparents, which is usually terribly boring. The summer started off with me going to spend time with my friend in Connecticut. When I came back, I was either at a pool, the beach, or just hanging out with all of my friends everyday before we all went to college. Towards the end of the summer I went to my friend's sumemr house in the Hamptoms, which is right on the beach and to Six Flags. My favorite part of last summer by far happened a few days before I left to come to school when my friends threw me a surprise going away party because I was going to college the farthest.
